Supercross Salt Lake City, Utah 2020

Salt Lake City is the final destination for Supercross 2020, but there will be no fans in the stadium. Only racer and related personnel will join. There will be 900 people in the stadium, including teams, riders, series officials, media, and locally hired venue workers.

Effect of COVID-19 in Supercross 2020

Corona Virus results in several changes in the tournaments, which is not limited to hosting without the spectators. Some notable changes are-

Reduction on prize money

Fans are the income source of Supercross tournaments. Since all the seven races are going to be held without fans, the authority will lose a massive amount of money. As a result, 22.5 percent of the funds will be reduced from each position, and race purse will decrease by 17.5 percent.

Same venue

All seven races were supposed to take place in different venues in different locations. The authority has chosen only one site for the rest of the matches to avoid risks. However, track design will be changed before each race. So, riders will get to race on a new track every time.

COVID-19 testing

Everyone attending the venue will need to go through the coronavirus testing process. Attendees have to go to the drive-through testing in Salt Lake City before 48 hours of the race. Only negative results will be permitted to enter. Yet, if someone tests positive, they will be retested within the next 72 hours. If the second test comes negative, they can enter. Otherwise, a positive result will send them to 14 days quarantine.

How to watch Supercross Salt Lake City 2020 Live Stream?

Since fans are now allowed to attend the stadium, watching from home will be the only option. Supercross 2020 Live Stream will be available on NBC, NBCSN. Besides, an official video pass is another option to watch online.

Conclusion

Monster Energy AMA Supercross never faced this kind of situation before. The whole world is going through the worst condition. After being stopped for more than two months, races are going to return but restricting the fans. Riders will be back to entertain, but you will have to watch from home. Let’s hope for the best for the rest of the tournament.
